My first days in London

We arrived in London on 27th of June in the morning & took the tube (their version of MRT/train) to our accommodation. Our lodging was booked via www.airbnb.com. OMG this is the greatest website ever if you didn’t know. I booked my accommodations for the US two years back from the same site. Essentially, when you own a budget that does not allow you to stay in a hotel and you don’t fancy hostels, airbnb.com is where you can find people who rent out their rooms or entire flats out to travelers all around the world. I love this site!

My apartment was closely situated to the tube station: Bethnal Green, which will be about the Central (Red) line. It is like a condominium in order to enter the estate in which you need an access card. The estate was perfectly safe. When we first arrived in the flat, we were like wow! It is very new (about 2-3 years old), our room was clean and contemporary. AND AND AND best part was we had our own bathroom! We were surprised because we just rented a room and believed we needed to share the room with the owners of the flat or others but they allocated a toilet for us. Allow the pictures speak for themselves.

Day 1:

Thanks to Covid a lot of things we wanted to do were closed and we needed careful planning to prebook. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London provides an astounding new opportunity to explore the magic of the Harry Potter(TMark) movies – the most successful film series of all time. This exceptional walking tour takes you behind-the-scenes and showcases an enormous array of beautiful sets, costumes and props. Additionally, it discloses some closely guarded secrets, including facts about the special effects and animatronics that made these pictures so enormously popular all over the world.

Some of the things that you can expect to see and do:

–Step inside and find the actual Great Hall.
–Investigate Dumbledore’s office and discover never-before-seen treasures.
–See iconic props in the movies, including Hagrid’s motorcycle and Harry’s Nimbus 2000.
–Learn how creatures were brought to life with green screen effects, animatronics and life sized models.
–Rediscover other memorable sets including the Gryffindor common room, the boys’ dormitory, Hagrid’s hut, Potion’s classroom and Professor Umbridge’s office in the Ministry of Magic, from the film series.

Day 2:

Thanks to Government changes on the London roads for e-scooters, we were able to rent electric scooters to get around. Best thing ever!
